So good. I’m claiming one of those verses to help me when the Devil tries to bring it to my remembrance and discourage me. God wipes the slate clean. Thank you God!
Well, he does forget about it! But not because he overlooks it. He forgets about it because if you are in Christ, your sin was absorbed by Christ on the cross and he now looks at you and see’s the blood of Christ.
He has forgotten your sin because He see’s only the righteousness of Christ on you.
The question my pastor asked last Sunday: "When was the last time you grieved your sin?" I'll tell you, that room was so quiet! What a great post, Brandon. Thank you for not just telling people how to live but showing us how to live. Your words are full of the Spirit. God bless you and your ministry as you continue to encourage others to stay in step with the Spirit.
Thank you, @Audra Powers! I’m glad your pastor is asking that question. It’s a lot to process, especially when culture is set up for us to avoid feeling grief (or anything really) with how easily we can distract ourselves.
This is excellent! Thank you for your insight on this topic, and for the corresponding Scripture references. Definitely some needed reminders here.

This was a wonderful read. Made me think about when I sin, I hope God just forgets about it. He doesn't. Thanks !

Not precisely what I meant, but I understand where you're coming from.
Ah yes, I see what you mean! I read it differently after you said that. That’s the drawback of no in person communication.
Yes, God reveals our sin to us for His glory and our good!
