This week has been filled with sickness in the Moore household unfortunately. But I can also say God is really faithful. Our home is coming together and we’re getting some much needed family time.
If you missed it, I posted on Notes a reflection from last weekend. Following Jesus is tough, but it’s worth it. The more we grow, the harder change becomes. But the more we grow, the better we are at listening to the Spirit which makes change possible.
I’m grateful you’re reading along. If you missed it, this weeks post was a few thoughts I’ve been having about the next generation based on the business model of a ridiculously famous YouTuber.

With all that said, here’s the Five on Friday.
An Old Post
This post was the first part of a two part series. I’ll share part 2 next week.
A Song
Brooke Ligertwood - Authority
Incredible song. Great reminder of God’s power and the possibility of His power working for us — not against us.
A Book
Rich Villodas - The Deeply Formed Life
I read this book during Covid times and it was profoundly helpful in getting clarity about what it meant to follow Jesus in the midst of the chaos of our world. I highly recommend it.
You can purchase it here. As of yesterday, it was on sale.
An Article
over at The Analog Family released an article about designing a life/home for offline play. I’ve been reading recently about the upcoming generation having a “Phone-Based Childhood” rather than a “Play-Based Childhood.” Those phrases certainly could have come from Katherine as well.Katherine’s articles have been helpful in thinking about how to encourage our daughters to play, not sit and stare at a screen. If you’re feeling this burden for your kiddos, check this article out.
My Favorite Moments
Jackie
This week Jackie have been able to share several moments in prayer. We make praying together a daily practice before we fall asleep, but these were unique moments of prayer together. Already we’ve seen God answer some of the prayers lifted up in those moments.
Hattie & Priscilla
My favorite moment with my daughters is a joint experience. During breakfast we usually read the girls a specific “Good Morning” book. This week, however, there were a few mornings they saw Jackie’s Bible sitting in front of them on the kitchen table and started saying, “Bible. Bible.”
They would nod their heads, “yes” when I asked them if they wanted me to read that to them instead of their normal book.
I could sense the importance of reading the scripture out loud to them and was thankful the Lord helped me cherish those moments. I pray there are many more moments like that for many more years to come.
As always, thank you for your support and encouragement. I’m grateful you’ve chosen to read along as we explore life with God together. If this is your first time, I would love for you to subscribe. If you’ve been around a while, please consider sharing the publication.
Oh, I love this song💖. Thanks for sharing😊.
You made my day with this article. Thank you. 😊
